Connell Brothers Appoints Regional Manager – Industry Specialties

BANGKOK – Jan. 15, 2014 – Tosaporn Sae-Ang, a tenured employee with Connell Brothers, has been appointed to the newly created position of regional manager – Industrial Specialties.
“The size of the specialty distribution market in Asia-Pacific is currently a multi-billion dollar industry,” said Tosaporn. “We stand as the largest specialty chemical distributor in Asia-Pacific, and I look forward to helping take Connell Brothers to a new level of success achieving a double-digit market share.”
Tosaporn spent 2013 at the company’s San Francisco headquarters in business development to help manage key supplier relationships, driving strategy and growth with those suppliers. He was also instrumental in adding new suppliers/products to the portfolio of numerous Connell Brothers operations.

In his new role, Tosaporn will be responsible to lead the strategic direction and initiatives of the company’s Industrial Specialties business, with a focus on plastics, rubber and lubricants, across Connell Brothers’ operations in 17 countries in Asia-Pacific.
Tosaporn began his career in R&D at Mitsui Chemicals in the polyurethane business. He also worked in the position of business strategist and manager for the gypsum-related business joint venture of French company Lafarge and Australian company Boral and Siam Cement Group.
Tosaporn began working for Connell Brothers in 2000 as a technical sales representative for the industrial segments – construction chemicals and metal working fluid additives and back to Connell Brothers in 2006 as Industrial Specialty business development manager. Since then he has assumed various strategic roles within the company.
Tosaporn will be based out of the company’s Bangkok office.
