Wilbur-Ellis Company Donates to Victims of Philippines

SAN FRANCISCO — November 19, 2013 — Wilbur-Ellis Company announced that it has donated $25,000 USD to the Philippines Relief Fund through the American Red Cross following Typhoon Haiyan that has devastated the lives of many.
“We’re grateful that our employees were unharmed during this catastrophic event, and we’re also grateful to be able to financially assist the communities during their relief efforts,” said John Thacher, president and CEO of Wilbur-Ellis.  “Our history is deeply rooted in the Philippines and we continue to send our thoughts and prayers to those who are suffering.”
The company has been operating in the Philippines since 1898 through its Connell Brothers Division, and currently has offices in Manila, Cebu, and Davao City with over 100 employees.
